About m'aiken babies 

My name is Marcy (Aiken) Klyeman and I am the artist behind the babies of m'aiken babies nursery. I discovered reborn babies in the spring of 2011. I ordered a complete starter kit with an instructional video and fell in love !!


"Reborning" is an artform which takes plain vinyl dolls and transforms them into lifelike babies. It takes many hours of painting to create one of these dolls. Layer after layer, baking to heat set the paint, bringing the flat vinyl to "life".


Tiny details such as veins and capillaries, little scratches, stork bites, birthmarks, and milk spots make all the difference between a doll and a lifelike baby. These babies even feel real. Their little cloth bodies are jointed for movement and weighted with glass beads. It is hard to believe you are holding a doll and not a REAL baby!
